At the opera

Last night all the Fall activities kicked off at our church. Since Maddie is now three - she can sing in the Wee Cherubs Choir! She was a little hesitant and clingy when we walked into the room, but I know Ms. Melody and she's great! So I kind of pushed her through the door and ran out quickly, closing it behind me.

I didn't get to pick her up - I was busy working in the church office (tea stuff). Mike picked her up and I did peek at them as they were walking down one of the halls (because I wanted to make sure he remembered!) She was happily chatting about how much fun she had so I just slipped back into the background without them seeing me.

She calls the choir - The Opera! I don't know how it got started like that, but even last night it was "I DON'T WANT TO SING IN THE OPERA ON STAGE!"

Of course this morning the tune has changed.... "I can't wait to go back to the OPERA!"

She said they sang songs, but "we didn't play ANY games." I find that part hard to believe.

I can't tell you how cute they all looked sitting on the tiny, blue chairs in a circle. She was surrounded by her little friends from preschool and Mom's Day Out.

Their first concert is Sept. 14 at 942 in the Community Life Center at FUMC Niceville. If you're in the area - come see them. I've cried every time this group has gotten on stage because they are so very precious. I will have to make sure I'm not on the band schedule for that morning because I can't wait to see her!
