Christmas Playgroup

I opened up our house to friends and playmates on Friday morning. It's so neat that the kids are able to do crafty projects now! I had stations set up and they had a blast!

Crafty Christmas Swap

I'm part of a great online forum called Granola Chicks - it's a natural parenting community. We do swaps each month - kind of like a secret sister - and I've received and given some neat stuff!

For Christmas we did a craft swap - you signed up and agreed to make something - or mostly make it. We were placed into groups and my group has 7 people in it. I made 6 gifts - all similar - boxed them up and sent them to the organizer.

I crocheted wash cloths for my people - and included half-bars of my favorite Cotton Mamma soaps. I had a great time making the wash cloths and hope the recipients will appreciate my handiwork and that of Krys - who made the soap.

maddie helped me wrap them all up and they turned out very pretty!

Homemade Christmas

This year I'm trying very hard to make most of our christmas presents. Here is what I've been working on for Maddie so far!

And what I'm really proud of - a tea pot!!! I didn't use a pattern for any of these - just my imagination!





I hope she likes them - she's already claimed the cake as an early present and loves it!
