scattered thoughts.

I haven't written in months because I'm not quite sure how to get all the thoughts from my mind to come out in a clear and coherent manner.

Over the years I've really tried hard to be an optimist - to see the good in things and people. I've given second, third and even fourth chances only to be let down continually. All in the name of being optimistic.

Well these days I'm forced to be a realist - and unfortunately that means that I have to consider the negatives and weigh them carefully.

We're just one family affected by the oil crisis in the Gulf - but it's going to change our lives and I can't quite wrap my head around it all just yet.

We're forced to consider our options and they aren't very pretty if we're talking about where we are at the moment.

Now where's my bottle of xanex?
