Fishing with Daddy

Most who know us in real life know that Maddie and Wyatt's daddy is a fisherman - he's a captain, actually. In the busy season he's often gone for days at a time - deep sea fishing, delivering boats and other fun things related to his yacht management company. Our kids love to go down and see the fish and Mike has been waiting for Maddie to be the right age to take fishing.

This Saturday morning - after he'd been gone on an overnight fishing (tuna!) trip - he got up and took Maddie out to Destin by himself. They went down to the Mixed Nuts boat and she helped Daddy and Mr. Larry and Mr. Randy clean up the boat and when they were all done she got to go fishing off the dock and help catch bait for the fishing trip he ran for them today.

I got there just in time to snap a few pictures and Maddie was having so much fun. The pecky pelicans were on patrol and she almost lost this fish to an eager bird!
